Assessment
Treatment Components
The Adult
Program begins with an
assessment which includes:
- Clinical
Interviews
- Psychological
testing
- Phallometric
assessment
- Polygraph
exam
- Medical/Psychiatric
evaluation and/or chemical dependency evaluation or referral as
indicated or if requested
At the
conclusion of the assessment a recommendation is made regarding
the most appropriate treatment approach. If outpatient treatment is
recommended, placement is made in a treatment group. The Adult Program consists of the
following:
- Orientation
: weekly 2-hour sessions for 6 weeks
- Group
Therapy: weekly 2-hour sessions
- Individual/Conjoint/Family
Therapy: two sessions/month
- Aftercare
- Progress
Reviews are conducted quarterly throughout the Treatment Program
Other
services include:
- Education
group for spouses, partners
- Ongoing
family support group
- Psychotherapy
for other family members as needed or requested
Admission
Criteria
For
admittance to the adult program, clients:
- Must be
18 years or older
- Have been
convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct I-V, Indecent Exposure,
Indecent Conduct, Lewd Conduct, Invasion of Privacy, or
- Have
committed a behavior that would constitute criminal sexual offense,
or
- Have a
fantasy, thought or urge to commit an offense
- Seek
treatment, and are willing to participate in treatment
- Are not
engaged in criminal sexual behavior
